Focus of the Drill
The main focus of this soccer drill is to focus on passing, agility and fitness of the team players which is a key element in successful soccer drills. It also helps in development of stamina of players.
Setup
For setting up:
Start by setting up a field that is 20X20 yards in size.
Then, around 4 players should be in each of the corners with the remaining two players in the middle of the grid.
One of the two players are working while the other person rests with their hands on their knees.
Two balls are used and the ball starts in opposite corners.
How to Play
When the game starts, the Player 1 passes the ball towards the resting players. The working players will then jump over the player resting and receive the ball. He then knocks it to the player to his right. As soon as the working players plays the ball back, the player on the other side of the grid plays a ball towards the resting player. After that, the working player jumps at him again and receives the ball to pass to the player on his right. The play continues in same manner.
Different Versions
Following changes can be made in the game play:
The game can be played in both 1 or 2 touch
Ask the players to use inside and outside of foot
Players can move close and serve with their hands for volleys
