Extreme Tag
Attackers Defenders Neutral Goalkeeper Pass Run Dribble Shot
Extreme Tag is a soccer dribbling drill for U6–U10 where every player is hunter and hunted at the same time. Tags only count below the knee, so players must dribble, dodge, chase, and protect their ball all at once. It's a step up from regular soccer tag and doubles as a sneaky fitness session.

Setup
- Mark a grid about 20×20 yards - adjust for your numbers.
- Every player starts inside with their own ball.
How It Works
- Everyone dribbles around trying to tag other players while avoiding being tagged themselves.
- A tag only counts if it lands below the knee.
- Each successful tag earns a point; getting tagged costs a point.
- First player to 5 points wins the round. Play several rounds as time allows.
Coaching Points
- Head up while dribbling - you can't hunt or escape staring at your feet.
- Steer into open space; crowded corners get you tagged.
- Players will want to abandon their ball when chased - insist the ball stays in close control.
- Keep the energy silly and loud; fun is the fuel here.
Variations
- Play with hands behind the back so only positioning earns tags.
- Shrink the grid at the halfway mark to force more duels.
- Play pairs: teammates combine their points for a team winner.
